Janusz Salamon is an Oxford-educated Polish philosopher and social theorist whose work explores global ethics, cross-cultural political theory, and the philosophy of religious pluralism. He is Founding Director of the largest European programme in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Charles University, Prague, and Adjunct Professor of cross-cultural studies at New York University.

His research focuses on the ethical and philosophical foundations of global solidarity, with particular attention to the role of cultural and religious diversity in shaping contemporary political thought. He has contributed extensively to debates on pluralism, intercultural dialogue, and the intellectual challenges of an increasingly interconnected world.

He has served as President of the European Society for Philosophy of Religion and as Chief Editor of the European Journal for Philosophy of Religion. He is currently Chair of the Editorial Committee of AGATHEOS: European Journal for Philosophy of Religion and Co-Editor of Bloomsbury Studies in Global Ethics.

His work is driven by a commitment to advancing philosophical inquiry across cultural boundaries and fostering a deeper understanding of the ethical dimensions of global cooperation.
